Overview

The Contacts page is the working list of every prospect for the client selected in the Client Switcher. Search and sort the list, build filter segments with a searchable property picker, save views, import CSV contacts with email or phone and name-based dedupe, add a contact, export a filtered view, and run bulk actions.

How to use this page

  1. Find your way around the page

The header shows the client name and the total contact count. Under it, the toolbar holds Search, the Views dropdown, Filters, and Columns. A summary band below shows the current view name, the matching range (Showing X to Y of Z), and quick stats for On page, With phone, In campaign, and Replied. When something is narrowing the list, a refinement chips row spells out the active search, filters, view, and archived state, with a Clear search and filters shortcut.

  2. Search and sort the list

Type in Search contacts to filter across name, email, company, and similar text fields in real time. Click the clear x inside the box to reset. Click any sortable column header (Contact Name, Email, Company, Title, Status, Calls, Emails, Email Score, Last Contacted, Created) to sort by it; click again to reverse direction.

  3. Switch and save views

The Views dropdown lists All Contacts plus any saved views (shared views show a Shared badge). Pick one to load its filters and columns. Use Save Current View to name and store the current search, filters, and column setup so you can return to it. Delete a saved view with the x next to its name.

  4. Filter the list with the segment builder

Click Filters to open the panel. Click Add property to stack rules. Each rule has a field picker (grouped into Identity, Company, Role, Location, Phones, Outreach, Organize, Activity, Email, Meetings, and System), an operator picker, and a value. The field picker is searchable: open it and type into Search properties... to narrow the grouped list by field label or key, then click a match or press Enter on an exact label. Press Escape or click outside to close the picker. Rules combine with AND. Click Apply Filters to narrow the list, or Clear All to reset. A badge on the Filters button shows the active rule count. The Saved Filter Controls inside the panel let you reapply a previously saved filter set.

  5. Use numeric filters for Company Revenue and Employee Count

Company Revenue and Employee Count are numeric fields. Their operator picker offers Equals, Greater than, Greater than or equal, Less than, Less than or equal, Between, Is empty, and Is not empty, and the value is a number input (Between shows two inputs). Use these to target, say, companies with revenue greater than or equal to 5000000, or employee count between 50 and 500. Revenue values can be typed as a plain number (5000000) or as $5 Million and the filter reads both the same way. Contacts with unknown revenue (the platform's missing-data sentinel) count as empty, so they match Is empty and never match a range rule.

  6. Filter or sort contacts by where they came from

The Source field classifies every contact by where it originated: List (came in through a CSV upload that set a list name), Enrichment (a ZoomInfo-enriched contact opted into All Contacts, with no list name), Migrated (carried over from the legacy platform), or Manual (added by hand or otherwise uncategorized). Add a Source rule in the Filters panel (it lives in the Organize group) to segment one bucket from another, for example to separate enrichment-opt-in contacts from uploaded-list contacts. The Source column is available in the column picker (off by default) so you can see the classification per row; it is a restrained uppercase text label rather than a per-row pill.

  7. Choose and reorder columns

Click Columns to open the picker. Tick a column to show or hide it (20 standard columns plus any custom fields). Visible columns can be dragged to reorder within the picker, and you can also drag column headers in the table itself to reorder them. The column set is part of the current view, so saving the view preserves it.

  8. Import contacts from a CSV

Click Import CSV to open the three step importer. Step 1 Upload chooses a CSV. Step 2 Map Fields auto-maps columns, shows samples, and warns when duplicate emails will merge; adjust mappings or set columns to Skip. Step 3 Import lets you choose Contacts only or a campaign. Email is optional when a row has a personal phone, a real first or last name, a company phone, or a company and title. Placeholder names such as "-" and "n/a" are ignored, and company-number rows use the normalized company phone plus an available address, so separate locations stay separate (a row without address still uses the company number). The result summary reports created, updated, skipped, notes, and follow-up dates.

  9. Add a single contact

Click Add Contact to open the form. Enter Email (the key field), then optional First Name, Last Name, Company, Title, Direct Phone, Mobile Phone, Company Phone, and LinkedIn URL. Optionally pick a Campaign to enroll the contact into as it is created (the dropdown shows No campaign if none are available). Click Add Contact to save.

  10. Export the contacts in view

Click Export CSV to download the contacts currently matching the search, filters, and view. Export respects whatever is narrowing the list, so filter first to export a specific segment.

  11. Run bulk actions on a selection

Tick checkboxes to select contacts (use the header checkbox to select the page). When the whole page is selected and more contacts match, a Select all N matching button appears so the bulk action can cover every matching contact, not just the visible page. The bulk bar offers Edit Status, Add to Campaign (if campaigns exist), and Delete. Add to Campaign can optionally move contacts already in another campaign, ending their old enrollment, canceling pending old-campaign emails, and keeping the old campaign history. Delete is permanent and also removes the contacts from campaigns and deletes their email cadences, so it asks for confirmation first.

  12. Archive, open, and paginate

Each row has a View contact action and an Archive or Unarchive action. Clicking a row (away from a checkbox, link, or action button) opens the contact's full record. Archived contacts are hidden by default; the Show Archived button in the header appears only when there are archived contacts, and toggles them into the list. When the list spans multiple pages, use First, Previous, Page X of Y, Next, and Last to move through it.

What the buttons do

Show / Hide Archived
Appears in the header only when archived contacts exist. Toggles archived contacts into or out of the list, showing the archived count.
Export CSV
Downloads the contacts currently matching the search, filters, and view.
Import CSV
Opens the three step CSV importer with auto-mapping, duplicate-email warnings, optional campaign enrollment, and address-aware identity-based dedupe for rows without email.
Add Contact
Opens the single-contact form with optional campaign enrollment on create.
Search contacts
Real time text search across name, email, company, and similar fields. Clear with the x.
Views dropdown
Lists All Contacts and saved views (shared views show a Shared badge), plus Save Current View to store the current setup.
Filters
Opens the segment builder. A badge shows the active rule count. Add property to stack AND rules; Apply Filters to narrow; Clear All to reset.
Columns
Picker to show, hide, and reorder the 20 standard columns plus any custom fields.
Add property (filter panel)
Adds a new filter rule. Fields are grouped into Identity, Company, Role, Location, Phones, Outreach, Organize, Activity, Email, Meetings, and System. The field picker includes Search properties... so you can find a field by label or key.
Search properties... (filter field picker)
Narrows the grouped filter-property list as you type by matching each property's label or key. Click a result, press Enter for an exact label match, press Escape to close, or click outside the picker.
Remove (filter rule)
Deletes a single filter rule from the panel.
Apply Filters
Closes the panel and narrows the list to the rules. Clear All wipes every rule.
Clear search and filters
Shortcut on the refinement chips row that resets both the search box and the filter rules.
Source (filter, Organize group)
A filter rule under the Organize group that narrows the list by where each contact came from: List, Enrichment, Migrated, or Manual. Use it to separate enrichment-opt-in contacts from uploaded-list contacts, or to isolate migrated legacy contacts. Supports equals, not equals, is any of, and is none of.
Source (column)
An optional column (off by default, in the column picker) that shows each contact's origin classification as a restrained uppercase label: List, Enrichment, Migrated, or Manual. It is a computed value, not a stored field, so it is not sortable.
Select all N matching (bulk)
Extends a page selection to every contact matching the current view, so bulk actions cover the full segment.
Edit Status (bulk)
Opens a modal to set a new status for every selected contact.
Add to Campaign (bulk)
Enrolls selected contacts into a campaign, with an option to move contacts already in another campaign (ending the old enrollment, canceling pending old emails, keeping history).
Delete (bulk)
Permanently deletes selected contacts and removes them from campaigns and their email cadences. Asks for confirmation.
View contact (row action)
Opens the contact's full record. Clicking the row itself also opens it.
Archive / Unarchive (row action)
Hides a contact from the active list or restores it.
First / Previous / Next / Last
Pagination controls for moving through a multi page list.

Common questions

Both are numeric fields. The operator set is Equals, Greater than, Greater than or equal, Less than, Less than or equal, Between, Is empty, and Is not empty, with a number value input (Between uses two). This replaced the old text operators (Contains, Starts with) so you can do real numeric comparisons like revenue greater than or equal to 5000000.
Yes. Revenue filter values accept a plain number (5000000) or formatted text like $5 Million, $4.2 Billion, or 500 Thousand, and the filter normalizes them to the same number. Contacts whose revenue is unknown count as empty, so they match Is empty and never match a range rule.
Saved views are not modified on disk. When a view loads, any rule whose operator no longer fits the numeric type is handled in memory: a legacy Contains or Equals becomes numeric Equals, and operators with no numeric equivalent (Starts with, Does not contain, Does not equal, Is any of, Is none of) are dropped for that load. Re-saving the view persists the coerced operator.
For text operators such as Contains, Equals, Starts with, and their negations, separate values with commas to match any (or, for negations, to match none). A single value with no comma behaves as before. This applies to text fields; numeric fields use a number input instead.
In Filters, open the field selector for a rule and type into the Search properties... field. The picker narrows the grouped properties by their label or key, shows No matches if nothing fits, and you can click a result or press Enter when the label is an exact match.
Source labels each contact by where it originated: List means it came in through a CSV upload that set a list name, Enrichment means it is a ZoomInfo-enriched contact that was opted into All Contacts (and has no list name), Migrated means it was carried over from the legacy platform, and Manual means it was added by hand or otherwise does not fit the other three. The classification is computed from fields that already exist on the contact, so there is no separate import step. It exists so the ZoomInfo enrichment pool does not silently blend into your uploaded-list contacts.
Migrated takes precedence on purpose. About 1.6 million migrated contacts carry a list name, so checking list name first would misclassify nearly all of them as List and leave Migrated empty. The order is Migrated first, then List, then Enrichment, then Manual, so every contact falls into exactly one bucket.
Rows with the same normalized email merge into one contact, with the latest row's non-key values winning. When there is no email, the importer can dedupe by normalized personal phone, real name plus company, company phone plus an available address, or company plus title plus an available address. Placeholder names such as "-" and "n/a" do not become fake identities.
A saved view stores the current search, filters, and column setup under a name, so you can reload it from the Views dropdown. Shared views show a Shared badge. Saving a view does not change which client it belongs to; it is scoped to the client currently selected in the Client Switcher.
Yes. Export downloads the contacts matching the current search, filters, and view, so filter first to export a specific segment.
By default it skips them. Tick Move contacts already in another campaign to enroll them into the new campaign instead, which ends their current enrollment, cancels their pending old-campaign emails, and keeps the old campaign history.
The list is scoped to the client selected in the Client Switcher. Switching clients reloads the count and the contacts, filters, and saved views for that client.
The table shows a Could not load contacts panel with a Try again button. Your filters and view are left unchanged, so retrying re-runs the same request.
A row with no email, personal phone, or real name can use its normalized company phone as the identity key. When an address is available, the address is added to the key so the same company number at different locations stays separate. Without an address, repeated rows for the same number update the same contact instead of creating another one.
