Overview

The Marketing section is a client-facing folder for managing every part of a client's hosted website. It mirrors SalesHive's own CRM Marketing section but is scoped to the client's own site. From here you can see an overview of the client's website status, open the live site or the live sales deck, manage blog posts and glossary terms, tune per-page SEO (titles and meta descriptions), and connect Google Analytics and Search Console for traffic and ranking data.

How to use this page

  1. View the website overview

The Overview page shows the client's website status, including its name, a LIVE or DRAFT badge, the site URL, publish date, and last update time. A live-site banner at the top shows the site name, status badge, and URL, with a View live site button that opens the site in a new tab once it is published. From here you can navigate to Blog, Glossary, SEO, and Settings subpages.

  2. Open the client's live website

Click View Website in the Marketing section of the sidebar to open the client's live hosted website in a new tab from anywhere in the platform. It uses the client's custom domain once pointed, otherwise the preview subdomain (slug.sites.saleshive.com). On the Overview page, the live-site banner's View live site button does the same thing once the site is published.

  3. Open the client's live sales deck

Click View Sales Deck in the Marketing section of the sidebar to open the client's interactive web sales deck in a new tab from anywhere in the platform. The deck lives at the client's site under /deck (the custom domain once pointed, otherwise slug.sites.saleshive.com/deck) and renders the newest published version, updated live with no deploy. It opens with a cover slide, a table-of-contents rail on the left, and prev/next plus fullscreen controls. Use the arrow keys (or spacebar) to move forward, the left arrow to go back, and press f for fullscreen. If no deck has been published yet, the link falls back to the Sales Deck builder tool so you can create or publish one. Speaker notes are never shown on this public deck; they stay in the deck builder.

  4. Manage blog posts

Open the Blog page to view, create, edit, or remove blog posts on the client's hosted website. The blog editor supports rich content, featured images, and SEO metadata. Changes are live after saving.

  5. Manage glossary terms

Open the Glossary page to manage industry glossary terms for the client's website. You can add new terms with definitions, edit existing ones, and reorganize them.

  6. Tune per-page SEO

Open the SEO page to manage the title and meta description for every page on the client's website: homepage, interior pages, blog posts, glossary terms, and index pages. Each row shows the current title (with a character count gauge) and meta description. Click to edit any field and save changes individually.

  7. Connect Google tools (staff only)

Staff can open Settings to connect the client's Google Analytics 4 property and Google Search Console site. The shared service account email is shown for granting Viewer access. Once connected, website agents can read traffic, search queries, and rankings to optimize the client's digital marketing.

Common questions

The Marketing folder is gated by the same platform/client-agents access section as the rest of the client portal. A client sees only their own site. The Settings tab is employee-only (staff manage the Google connection).
Two ways. Click View Website in the Marketing sidebar to open the client's live site in a new tab from anywhere in the platform. Or, on the Overview page, the live-site banner has a View live site button (shown once the site is published). Both open the client's custom domain once pointed, otherwise the preview subdomain (slug.sites.saleshive.com).
Click View Sales Deck in the Marketing section of the sidebar. It opens the client's interactive web sales deck in a new tab at the client's site /deck (custom domain once pointed, otherwise slug.sites.saleshive.com/deck). The deck shows the newest published version with keyboard navigation (arrows or spacebar to advance, left arrow to go back, f for fullscreen) and a table-of-contents rail. If no deck is published yet, the link sends you to the Sales Deck builder tool instead.
The builder tool (under Tools > Sales Deck) is where you or the Sales Deck Manager agent build and edit deck slides, including speaker notes. The live sales deck is the public, prospect-facing version at the client's site /deck: it renders the newest published version only, with no speaker notes, and it updates instantly with no deploy whenever the deck changes.
No. Speaker notes are never rendered on the public deck. They are visible only inside the Sales Deck builder tool, which is the rep-facing surface.
If the client has no published sales deck yet, the View Sales Deck link redirects to the Sales Deck builder tool so you can create or publish one. Once a version is published, the link opens the live interactive deck instead.
The SEO page lets you manage titles and meta descriptions for the homepage, all interior pages, blog posts, and glossary terms. Default templates set fallback values for any page without a custom override.
Go to Marketing > Settings (staff only). Enter the client's GA4 Property ID and Search Console site URL. Copy the shared service account email and add it as a Viewer on the client's Google Analytics and Search Console properties.
No. The CRM Marketing section (/crm/marketing) manages SalesHive's own marketing. This client-facing Marketing folder is scoped to the selected client's hosted website with overview, live site, sales deck, blog, glossary, SEO, and settings.
They are published to the client's hosted website (either on its custom domain or the *.sites.saleshive.com subdomain). Changes made in the Marketing folder go live immediately after saving.
